What you see here helps explains how I choose vintage for my shop Shrimpton Couture, but at the same time it probably does not really explain it at all.
This space mixes vintage, style, interiors, clients, shoes, jewels and celebrities, with a drop of decadence and dash of yearning for days gone by.
Images of the past and the present collide and overlap to form this little peak into all the odds & ends of my crazy vintage filled life.

change the hat and hairstyle and the heel of the shoe - take away the gloves and have her stand a little less “posed” and voila - this 60 year old outfit is so NOW. And I knw I do not even have to point out that the Chanel bag is the exact same as ones you can go and buy now!

there are lots of vintage pics on that board. Anyone who says they don’t “get vintage” take note. What you “get” is all inspired and derived from the originals. So don’t automatically pass them by. The great clothing of today is just tomorrows vintage anyway!
